HIGH: CV registrations flying
Commercial vehicle registrations rose strongly in November, figures have shown, with the market powering towards its best year since 2008.
Total registrations rose 22.7% to 28,057 units, with van registrations up 19.4% to 22,647 and truck registrations up 39.3%.
Year-to-date overall figures are up 10.9% at 294,991 units and on track to top 300,000 units for first time in five years.
Mike Hawes, Chief Executive of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), said: “With engine technology developments driving up the truck market, plus van owners and operators responding positively to this year’s economic recovery, the sector is on course for its best performance in five years.”
