GREEN: Nissan’s new Qashqai

Nissan’s new Qashqai will offer CO2 emissions from 99g/km, it has been revealed.

The new version of the crossover leader, which goes on sale on February 1, is 49mm longer. 20mm wider and 15mm lower than the current model, with headroom increasing by 10mm.

It is available with a choice of four engines – two petrol and two diesel – with the most economic being the 74.3mpg, 99g/km 1.5litre dCi 110PS.

Customers can choose two or four-wheel-drive and between manual or automatic transmission.

Advanced technology features include Front Collision Avoidance, Driver Attention Support and Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Park Assist.

It will also feature the new NissanConnect system, with a seven-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, DAB radio and USB.

Precise specifications and trim levels will be released nearer to release.
