DEBUT: Pulsar to storm C-segment?

Nissan are expanding their hatchback offering with the brand-new Pulsar.

The five-door C-segment contender will go on sale from Autumn, and be available with a choice of turbocharged engines with CO2 outputs from 95g/km.

Options include a 1.2litre DIG-T petrol, a 1.5litre dCi and a 1.6litre petrol, all of which can be paired with XTronic automatic transmission.

Nissan’s advanced Safety Shield suite is fully integrated into the Pulsar’s design, with systems including Forward Emergency Braking, Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning.

The Pulsar also features Nissan’s second-generation NissanConnect system, which includes full smartphone integration, Google Send-to-Car and access to a wide variety of apps.

Full priced and specifications will be revealed closer to release.
