HIT: New VW Golf GTD

Volkswagen are today releasing their Golf GTD in showrooms across the UK.

Priced from £25,285, the vehicle achieves 67.3mpg, with emissions of 109g/km and an insurance group rating of 26E – four lower than the outgoing model.

Powered by a 2.0litre, 184PS turbocharged TDI, the Golf accelerates from 0-62mph in 7.5seconds, reaching a top speed of 142mph.

With an optional six-speed DSG, fuel consumption is 62.8mpg with CO2 emissions at 119g/km.

Standard exterior equipment includes LED licence plate illumination, bi-xenon headlights, chrome dual tailpipes, 18inch ‘Nogaro’ alloy wheels, side skirts and sports suspension.

Inside, features include tartan ‘Jacara Grey’ sports seats, a black roof lining, sports steering wheel, and stainless steel pedals.

The Golf comes equipped with progressive steering, white ambience lighting, 2Zone climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system which includes DAB digital radio, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity.

Meanwhile, optional extras include 19inch ‘Santiago’ alloy wheels, ‘Vienna’ leather upholstery, keyless entry, High Beam Assist, Lane Assist, Park Assist, ACC Adaptive Chassis Control, touchscreen satellite navigation and a Dynaudio sound pack.
