OPEN: Golf Estate starts at £17,915
Volkswagen’s brand new Golf Estate opens for ordering tomorrow – with prices starting at £17,915 on the road.
Available in S, SE and GT trim levels, like the award-winning Golf hatchback, the Estate begins at just £765 more.
A 605litre loadspace volume is a 100litre boost on its predecessor, with 1,620litres the overall cargo volume and 1,600kg its towing capacity.
Four petrol engines and three diesel engines are available, including the vehicle’s first full fleet-friendly BlueMotion experience.
The 1.6litre 110PS six-speed manual engine – on sale before the end of the year – achieves a fuel consumption of 85.9mpg and emissions of 87g/km of CO2.
All models include Bluetooth, DAB digital radio with 5.8-inch colour touchscreen, iPod connector, seven airbags, XDS electronic differential and an automatic post-collision braking system.
SE gains include 16-inch alloy wheels, rear map-reading lights, automatic lights and wipers, a Driver Alert System, driver profile selection, and the Pre-Crash preventive occupant protection system.
GT adds 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, 65% tinted rear windows, Discover navigation system, electrically folding door mirrors and parking sensors.
All UK Golf Estates, except BlueMotion, will come with a standard space-saver spare tyre.
