DEBUT: Range Rover Sport makes BCA bow
Land Rover recorded a fine result in a special closed sale at BCA Nottingham last month, with the all-new Range Rover Sport making its auction debut.
More than 70 franchised and approved Land Rover dealers were represented at the event to bid on 105 vehicles direct from the manufacturer.
Demand was significant across the range of Land Rover product and every vehicle on offer sold on the day for a 100% conversion that realised £4million.
The special entry of twelve 2013-registered Range Rover Sport models stole the show, averaging 116% of CAP Clean.
A top value of £82,700 was achieved for a Range Rover Sport Autobiography Dynamic V8 5.0 litre in Chile Red.
“We were delighted to see so many representatives of our dealer network attending this event and bidding so strongly and confidently.”

Across the sale, notable performances were recorded by Range Rover Evoque and Defender 110, which averaged 103.4% and 105.2% of CAP Clean respectively.
Lynn Brown, Used Vehicle Sales Manager at Land Rover, said: “This was a very well-supported sale that offered the first opportunity to buy all-new Range Rover Sport at auction.
“We were delighted to see so many representatives of our dealer network attending this event and bidding so strongly and confidently.
“The presentation by BCA was first-class and the all-new Range Rover Sport made a notable debut, exceeding our own high expectations.
Paul Dunn, National Account Manager at BCA, added “This high profile event underlines that the all-new Range Rover Sport is going to be every bit as desirable to used car buyers as it is in the new car market.
“This result firmly reinforces Land Rover as the clear number one leader within this specialist sector.”
