Peugeot’s new 308 is now on sale.
Priced from £14,495, the compact hatchback – which Peugeot claim ‘signals the start of a new era’ – boasts fuel economy of up to 91.1mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 82g/km.
It is up to 140kg lighter than the outgoing model and offers up to 9% better residuals, with buyers able to choose from eight engines and four trim levels.
The 420litre boot space with the rear seats upright, meanwhile, is the largest in the segment.
Tim Zimmerman, Managing Director of Peugeot UK, said the new 308 is a ‘significant leap forward’ for the manufacturer, and claimed it would be ‘a big hit’ with customers.
“It’s high on style and quality and provides a truly rewarding driving experience, all at a value-for-money price,” he said.
