REVEALED: New Jeep Cherokee
The new Jeep Cherokee has been revealed ahead of next month’s Geneva Motor Show launch.
Offering a new exterior and interior design, the mid-size SUV becomes the first in its class to offer nine-speed automatic transmission.
It will also offer the first rear-axle disconnect in the segment, improving fuel efficiency and only using four-wheel-drive when necessary.
The fourth-generation Cherokee will be available in a choice of three trim levels, and powered by the 170hp 2.0litre MultiJet II turbo diesel engine.
Technological features include the full-colour seven-inch reconfigurable TFT instrument cluster and Uconnect with 8.4inch colour touchscreen.
The Cherokee rides on 17inch or 18inch tyres – depending on trim level selected – with the new CommandView dual-pane power sunroof available as an option on all trims.
