TRACKED: Ctrack seal 61-strong van deal

Ctrack are to develop and implement an advanced vehicle tracking system across the 61-strong van fleet of Network Catering Engineers.

Under the agreement, the company will use the web-based tracking tool Ctrack Online to enhance fleet utilisation, reduce operational overheads and minimise customer response times.

Ctrack Online will be used from Network Catering Engineers’ headquarters in Halesowen, West Midlands, to provide added visibility and control over their engineering team that services customers nationwide.

It will support reactive and proactive planning and scheduling across all equipment breakdowns, planned preventative maintenance and equipment installations to help make best use of available resources.

In particular, Network Catering Engineers will be targeting fuel and maintenance savings by reducing vehicle mileage and improving driver behaviour.

Ctrack Online will enable the company to identify the closest vehicle to an incoming job to minimise journey lengths.

Meanwhile, the Driver Performance League Table reporting will help identify areas of improvement within the fleet and encourage responsible driving.

Jed Hodgkins, Operations Director at Network Catering Engineers, said: “Ctrack Online will provide added visibility and control over our engineering team to help optimise our fleet operation and enhance the service we provide our customers.

“Working closely with Ctrack we have been able to develop an effective solution that will meet our precise needs.”

John Wisdom, Managing Director of Ctrack, added: “Fleet operators are increasingly recognising the value of vehicle tracking, with the technology delivering a wide range of business and operational benefits.

“As a result, we are working with businesses such as Network Catering Engineers to develop effective solutions that can deliver measurable return on investment.”
