Mercedes-Benz has won two awards at this year’s Auto Express awards. The C-Class Cabriolet was named ‘Best Convertible’, while S-Class won the ‘Best Luxury Car’ accolade.
The C-Class Cabriolet was praised by the judges for its luxurious cabin and stylish looks, while the S-Class stood out thanks to its comfort and innovative technology.
Steve Fowler, Editor-in-Chief, Auto Express, commented: “The Mercedes S-Class is a serial winner at our Awards, but this year it had some of its toughest challengers yet. However, the fantastic mix of imperious ride quality, cosseting comfort and dazzling levels of tech means it still sits at the very top of the luxury car class.”
On the C-Class Cabriolet’s win, he added: “The Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet sets a new benchmark in the convertible class, with its luxurious cabin, superb refinement and stylish looks. It drives well, too, and its efficient range of engines means there’s no need to sacrifice fuel economy and emissions in this desirable drop-top.”
Krishan Bodhani, Head of smart and Product Management, said: “The S-Class remains the very pinnacle of the Mercedes-Benz brand, it’s a showcase of the very best in comfort, luxury and technology. We introduced the C-Class Cabriolet last year, and it’s already proving to be a big hit with customers thanks to its wide choice of engines and stylish looks.”
