DEBUT: Renault Range T joins MacIntyre
Haulage company MacIntyre Transport have taken delivery of their first Renault Range T 460.25 6×2 TML E6.
The Range T, which increases MacIntyre’s 44tonne fleet to 155, is also the first Euro VI truck to join MacIntyre’s mixed Renault, Mercedes, Volvo and Scania offering.
It will run out of MacIntyre Transport’s Felixstowe hub, delivering general container haulage for logistics companies and shipping lines across the UK.
The 24-month lease forms part of the company’s organic growth strategy, which aims to build capacity every year and bolster their Felixstowe and Southampton fleets.
Paul Miller, Managing Director at MacIntyre Transport, said: “The time is right to try out Euro VI.
“Renault has always been a good fleet truck, and we have 15 Renault Premiums that run out of our Selby site.
“Renault Trucks Felixstowe approached us with the right deal at the right time and although we normally lease over three or four years, we decided that a 24-month lease gave us enough time to evaluate the Range T in operation.
“It will be covering 1,400 to 1,600miles per week, and we expect good fuel returns.”
