OPPORTUNITY: Book now to avoid disappointment
Fleets are being invited to book their places at next month’s Freight Transport Association (FTA) Van Excellence conferences.
The London and Manchester events, which provide the opportunity for van operators to obtain advice from a practical, operational viewpoint, will feature several high-profile guest speakers.
Delegates will hear from keynote speaker Chief Inspector Paul Keasey, Operations Manager of Central Motorways Police Group, as well as industry experts, Van Excellence industry partners and FTA specialists.
One of the key sessions at this year’s events will focus on load security and overloading, following the DVSA’s stance on non-compliant van operators.
“We all know that keeping vans within legal weight limits can be a challenge for many operators.”
Mark Cartwright, FTA
Mark Cartwright, Head of Vans at the FTA, said: We all know that keeping vans within legal weight limits can be a challenge for many operators, particularly those using vans as mobile toolboxes, and it is vitally important that we focus on load security and overloading at the Van Excellence conferences to ensure best practice is identified.”
Van Excellence is an industry-led initiative aiming to enhance standards of van operator compliance, celebrate operators who demonstrate excellence and represent the interests of the van industry.
The conferences are sponsored by Van Excellence Industry Partners ATS Euromaster, BT Fleet, Hertz Van Rental, Lex Autolease and TomTom Business Solutions.
Events take place on Tuesday, April 8, in Elstree, London, and on Thursday, April 10, in Manchester.
They are open to Van Excellence-accredited FTA members at £215, plus VAT, per delegate, FTA members at £235, plus VAT, per delegate, and to non-FTA members at £275, plus VAT, per delegate.
