DEAL: Big contracts for Hitachi

Hitachi Capital are celebrating several big deals, after winning two new clients and two contract renewals.

Recruitment agency Matchtech Group and brewers Charles Wells Group have been added to Hitachi’s contract list, with Lavendon Group and Daily Mail and General Trust extending their existing relationships.

The contracts cover fully-outsourced fleet management and funding.

Both Matchtech Group, who run a fleet of 110 cars, and Charles Wells Group, with a fleet of 120 cars, have handed over all fleet and driver administration needs.

They cited the e-commerce platform and smartphone apps as key to the decision for partnership.

“We have seen a rising trend for customers looking to outsource their car fleet management in recent months.”

Robert Wastell, Hitachi

Robert Wastell, Divisional Managing Director of Hitachi Capital Car Solutions, said: “We have seen a rising trend for customers looking to outsource their car fleet management in recent months; our customers are looking to subcontract certain parts of their business operations in order to sustain output without impacting on productivity levels.

“This is where we come in, working in partnership with companies like Matchtech Group and Charles Wells to handle all driver contact and free up valuable internal HR and fleet management employees.”
