FIAT: Doblò Cargo scoops big award
The FIAT Doblò Cargo has claimed the prestigious “Fleet Van of the Year” accolade at the 2014 Motor Transport Awards.
Held at a gala ceremony in London’s Grosvenor House on Park Lane, the award represents recognition by its industry peers and is highly valued.
Following its 2010 launch, the FIAT Doblò Cargo was also named International Van of the Year winner in 2011,
Justin Stanton, Operations Director at Motor Transport, said: “The FIAT Doblò Cargo has an obvious appeal to fleet operators: its towing capabilities are highly regarded, it has an assured ride and high comfort levels and it also sports a stylish and modern interior.
“The most striking element of the cab is just how much space there is – the cabin feels huge for such a small van.
“It has proved a big hit in the UK since its launch but recently it has also found its way into a wider range of fleets as more businesses come to appreciate not only its attributes but the manner in which the Fiat Professional brand is developing.”
Sebastiano Fedrigo, Director, FIAT Professional UK, commenting on the win, said: “We were honoured just to be nominated for this prestigious award but to win our category outright is hugely gratifying for the FIAT Professional brand.
“We feel this award highlights the growing recognition within the industry not only of the quality of FIAT Professional’s products but also the commitment of the brand to provide the best possible service to all of its fleet clients, large and small.
“We’re very grateful for this award and to the Motor Transport Award judges for recognising and rewarding our hard work.”
