UNVEILED: New Citroen C1

Citroen have revealed their new C1 ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut next month.

The city car, purchasable in three and five-door variants as well as a new class-exclusive open-top body style, will be available with two petrol engines.

Both the e-VTi 68 Airdream and VTi 82 are paired with a five-speed gearbox, with the latter 1.2litre variant boasting fuel economy of 65mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km.

It will also feature improved ride comfort and additional technology – including the seven-inch Touch Driver Interface and smartphone-enabled Mirror Screen.

The front end exhibits the key characteristics of the new brand models, offering two-part headlamps, daytime running LED lights and round inserts.

It will be available in eight exterior colours and can also be personalised with bi-tone colour options, with two special launch versions available with different body and roof colours.

The soft-top version, Airscape, is also bi-toned, while 14inch or 15inch wheel covers and 15inch diamond-tipped alloy wheels will also be available.

Boot space is at 196litres, with additional comfort features including automatic air conditioning, heated seats and front seat memory settings.

New tyres contribute to improved breaking and fuel economy, and additional features will include reversing camera, hands-free entry and hill-start assist.
