Chris Clibbery is the new Commercial Director of innovation company driverConnex, it has been announced.
Mr Clibbery will primarily develop the growth plans of the young company, who specialise in the application of mobile technology in support of driver needs.
“From my initial conversations with Mark [Andrews, Managing Director] it was very clear to me that driverConnex represents an exciting proposition,” said Mr Clibbery.
“Virtually all organisations, with an interest in the needs of drivers, are contemplating the potential of mobile technology but often struggling to work out how best to integrate mobile technology solutions into their existing operations to embrace this revolution.
“This is where I know driverConnex can help”.
“Mark and I have exciting plans for the company; we will grow the company by forging strong business partnerships with our clients.
“This is important because the start point for a mobile technology solution will not be the end point and we want to work with our clients to evolve solutions that monitor feedback and respond to the changing needs of drivers.
“With no legacy systems ourselves and an agile development team in support, we will rapidly expand our core platform and range of mobile applications and services such that we can rapidly, and cost effectively, configure tailored and, as required, branded solutions to meet particular client needs and opportunities.
“Furthermore, if there is a piece of work to be done at the outset to scope needs and define a mobile communications strategy then we can do that to.”
Mr Clibbery started his 35-year long career in engineering – holding senior posts with British Gas, Fleet Cost Management, Overdrive, Arval, Centrica and the AA.
He has worked with private, limited, PLC and private equity-owned companies, as well as latterly running a successful consulting business providing services to the automotive sector.
Mark Andrews, founder of driverConnex, said: “I am absolutely delighted to have Chris on board.
“Chris brings a great deal of experience and expert industry knowledge, between us we have touched at some point in our careers all facets of the vehicle ownership lifecycle.”
