Telematics innovation set to boost efficiency at leading Yorkshire business
Leading car parts distributor Andrew Page have turned to Masternaut Connect in order to effectively monitor, manage and improve driver behaviour, create a more efficient fleet and provide environmental cost savings.
Fleet managers at Andrew Page will now have access to next-generation telematics platform Masternaut Connect, all with the aim of improving vehicle efficiency and productivity.
Andrew Page decided to take on Masternaut’s Connect programme following a successful trial period in Birmingham, which delivered a 7.1% improvement in mpg and a 47% reduction in harsh events.
Mark Saunders, chief operating officer at Andrew Page, said: “We pride ourselves on supplying the very best service to our customers and value the high standards we work to. Masternaut has demonstrated that its solution is capable of helping us to further this, by giving us detailed and up to the minute views of our driver locations, whilst also helping us to make vital cost savings.”
“We’re confident that once again telematics will provide yet another company with a cost effective method of improving customer service and benefits across the business.” Martin Hiscox, CEO at Masternaut, commented.
The programme allows fleet managers to monitor driver behaviour in order to provide feedback on driving habits, in line with Masternaut best practise guidelines. By monitoring and benchmarking driver behaviour, it will allow Andrew Page’s fleet managers to educate and improve driver performance, helping to create a safer and more efficient mobile workforce.
From a logistics perspective, Andrew Page’s fleet managers will also have realtime and in depth visibility of their entire fleet of vans which will ensure that coordination challenges can be minimised, reducing fuel costs. This greater visibility will immediately be felt by customers, who will know exactly where their delivery is and exactly when it will arrive.
