Renewable electricity supplier and services provider Good Energy is launching a new fixed tariff which will help electric car drivers to charge both at home and on the go. The tariff offers a market-leading rate of just 7.4p per kWh for overnight charging during a five-hour window, ensuring EV drivers can charge up with 100% truly renewable electricity at home. The tariff also comes with a free Premium subscription to Zapmap, the go-to app for EV drivers helping them to search, plan and pay for public charging.

The Good Energy Smart EV Fixed Tariff (July 25) will be available from 1 July. Its excellent off-peak rate, accessible in a five-hour window between 12am and 5am, means customers can charge a standard range Tesla Model Y from empty to 100% for as little as £4.50. The rest of the day will be charged at peak rate of 28.3p per kWh between the hours of 5am and 11:59pm. The tariff will be live until 31 July 2025.
Zapmap, which Good Energy is a long-term partner of and largest investor in, is the UK’s leading EV charging app with over 1.5 million downloads, mapping more than 60,000 charge points with over 75% providing live status updates. Zapmap Premium, usually costing £29.99 per year or £2.99 per month, provides additional features and benefits to users, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, extra filters, the ability to save unlimited routes in the app, as well as a 5% discount on charging when paying via the Zapmap app.
