REVEALED: Ssangyong Rexton W

Ssangyong’s new Rexton W will reach the UK this winter, it has been announced.

Priced from £21,995, the seven-seat off-roader enjoys an extensively refreshed design and three-tonne towing capability.

It is powered by Ssangyong’s 2.0litre turbo-charged 155PS e-XDi diesel engine, with a choce of six-speed manual or Mercedes-Benz five-speed T-Tronic automatic.

Inside, the car’s cabin boasts aluminium-effect and chrome finishes along with soft-touch materials.

Standard equipment includes cruise control, air conditioning, electric heated mirrors, leather steering wheel and gear knob, and CD and RDS radio with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.

The EX model also receives an electrically-operated memory driver’s seat, leather upholstery, privacy glass, sunroof and rear parking sensors.

Paul Williams, CEO of Ssangyong Motor UK, said: “With prices starting from only £21,995, this new car has an almost unrivalled position in the 4×4 sector, particularly as prices for our Korean and Japanese competitors have migrated steadily upwards over recent years.

“Built on a proper ladder chassis, Rexton W is a serious off-roader, yet with all the equipment and creature comforts expected of an urban cruiser.

“At such an amazing price point, not only do you get a lot of car for the money, but you also have the reassurance of an industry-leading five-year limitless mileage warranty for complete peace of mind.”

Available in four exterior colours – Carbonic Grey, Space Black, Silent Silver and Grand White – the Rexton W is now available to order.
