Bradshaw Electric Vehicles, one of the UK’s leading providers of electric utility vehicles, is set to launch its new compact electric Goupil G4 Refuse Collection Vehicle with Bin Lift at this year’s CV Show on Stand No. 5A60.
The show, which offers visitors the opportunity to explore the latest innovations across freight transport, distribution and logistics, will take place between 29th April and 1st May 2025 at Birmingham’s NEC.
The Goupil G4 RCV boasts a 100 percent electric design, offering a sustainable and efficient alternative to traditional refuse collection methods.
With impeccable manoeuvrability and convenient narrow street access, the new vehicle eliminates the need for manual transportation of bins, enhancing operational efficiency and safety in areas where larger vehicles may have difficulty gaining access.
The RCV has been launched to tackle the challenges of urban waste collection and is tipped to revolutionise how local authorities and waste management companies operate in confined urban areas.
With new recycling regulations now in effect, requiring businesses across England that produce more than 5 kg of food waste per week being legally required to segregate food waste from general waste, the Goupil G4 RCV arrives at a crucial time for waste management operations.
Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the G4 RCV Bin Lifter has a range of up to 100 miles on a single charge, making it ideal for urban areas with multiple collection points. Designed for seamless integration with larger refuse collection vehicles, it can efficiently offload its contents, allowing the Goupil to continue collections alongside the rest of the fleet.
By efficiently discharging waste into larger collection vehicles, the vehicle is able to streamline waste collection rounds, while also reducing overall time on the streets.
Also on Bradshaw’s stand for the first time will be its PFB1500-RCV, a new waste collection vehicle based on its popular PFB1500 pedestrian load carrier.
Designed to operate within pedestrianised areas and locations with limited vehicle access, the pedestrian-controlled walk-along RCV is able to tackle the challenges of urban waste collection and food recycling.
Featuring a hydraulic bin lift which accommodates between 120-360 litre bins, drop-down loading doors on both sides for seamless waste disposal and a lightweight body with 2.2 m³ capacity, the PFB-1500-RCV offers a solution for modern waste collection needs.
Powered by a dedicated 12V battery and charger system, the vehicle delivers an uninterrupted performance without drawing from the vehicle’s main battery.
Ramsy Labassi, Marketing Manager at Bradshaw Electric Vehicles commented: “We are excited to be unveiling our electric Refuse Collection Vehicle with bin lift at this year’s CV Show along with the PFB-1500-RCV.
“Despite being new additions to our range, we are already receiving overwhelming interest from local authorities and waste management companies as they seek out innovative and environmentally friendly alternatives to existing refuse collection practices, which typically involve large diesel-powered vehicles that are simply not fit for purpose when navigating narrow streets and pedestrianised zones.
“Both vehicles have been launched at a time where there’s a growing need from local authorities to improve efficiency in collecting waste, especially with the new food waste regulations now in effect. Throughout the show, visitors will have the opportunity to see each vehicle up close and learn more about their capabilities from our team members, especially in regards to how they can support local authorities in revolutionising their waste collection operations.”
