MG Cyberster heads up electrified line-up at CarFest 2026
MG will showcase its latest generation of vehicles and advanced technologies at CarFest 2026, with the electric Cyberster taking to the track alongside static displays of the MGS9 Plug-in Hybrid, MG IM6 and MGS6 EV.
The appearance will give visitors the opportunity to explore MG’s expanding electrified range and see how new technology is influencing the brand’s future direction.
With more than a century of British automotive heritage, MG is continuing to evolve through the adoption of advanced powertrains, intelligent vehicle technology and modern design, while retaining its focus on accessibility and innovation.
MG Cyberster brings electric performance to the track
The MG Cyberster will be the headline attraction at CarFest, demonstrating its performance in dynamic on-track action. The MGS9 Plug-in Hybrid will complement the Cyberster as a major static display.
Designed in London, the Cyberster combines traditional British roadster styling with an all-electric powertrain and futuristic design. Its long bonnet, low nose and sweeping curves reference MG’s heritage, while its electric performance provides a distinctly modern interpretation of the classic sports car.
The Cyberster can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds, delivering instant electric torque and high-performance handling.
MGS9 combines seven-seat practicality with plug-in hybrid power
The MGS9 Plug-in Hybrid is MG’s first seven-seat large SUV, offering three rows of seating and a flexible interior designed for family use. Folding the third row increases boot capacity to 1,026 litres when the vehicle is being used as a five-seater.
Its plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 24.7kWh battery, providing an electric-only range of up to 62 miles.
The MGS9 is available in Comfort and Premium specifications, with both versions offering a comprehensive range of standard equipment. Features include 20-inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting, heated seats, a panoramic roof and dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and driver information.
MG IM6 focuses on performance and rapid charging
The MG IM6 brings a combination of high performance, rapid charging and advanced driver technology to the CarFest display.
Its Ultimate Performance specification produces up to 553kW of power and 802Nm of torque. The largest 100kWh battery can accept charging at more than 350kW, allowing the battery to be replenished from 10% to 80% in just 17 minutes under suitable charging conditions.
The MG IM6 also incorporates a range of intelligent safety technologies. Its Continental braking system can bring the vehicle to a halt from 62mph in 33.8 metres, while Hydroplaning Stability Control is designed to reduce drifting or sliding by nearly 80% compared with traditional ESC systems.
An advanced four-wheel-drive system is also designed to improve high-speed manoeuvrability while providing a tight turning circle.
Inside, the IM6 combines technology with comfort, including a ventilated 12-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory function and a six-way adjustable passenger seat. A 26.3-inch infotainment display forms the centrepiece of the cabin, supported by a 50W wireless charging system and 20-speaker audio system.
MGS6 EV offers up to 329 miles of range
The MGS6 EV is built on MG’s Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), the same architecture used by the MG4 EV and MGS5 EV.
The SE Long Range and Trophy Long Range versions use a rear-mounted single electric motor and offer up to 329 miles of range. At the top of the range, the Dual Motor Trophy delivers stronger acceleration, reaching 62mph from rest in 5.1 seconds.
Practicality is another focus, with 30 storage and convenience features and up to 1,910 litres of boot space with the rear seats folded. Single-motor versions also benefit from a 124-litre front storage compartment, while the dual-motor model provides 102 litres of additional front storage.

MG’s presence at CarFest 2026 demonstrates how the brand is using electrification and advanced technology across different vehicle segments, from the high-performance Cyberster to the family-focused MGS9 and MGS6 EV.
