Budgen MG, one of Shropshire’s leading car dealerships, has renewed its sponsorship agreement with PGA Champion Luke Towler. The annual deal sees Luke benefit from a top of the range, fully-liveried MG GS for travel to and from high-profile tournaments across the UK.
Acting Head Professional at the Telford Hotel and Golf Resort, Luke represents the Shropshire club in regional fixtures and Pro-Am tournaments across the UK and Europe. The talented player, who amassed 12 PGA victories in 2015 alone, is currently ranked second in the Midlands and holds a Euro Pro Tour Card.
Having played three PGA tournaments already in 2017, Luke aspires to qualify for the European Challenge Tour through a top-five finish in the Euro Pro Tour. A big MG fan, Luke has previously driven numerous models from the MG range.
Commenting on the agreement, James Martin, Managing Director at Budgen Motor Group, commented: “As a hugely talented professional golfer, we’re delighted to support Luke in his journey to the top. With a number of wins under his belt and a clear vision for the future, we’re expecting big things – a real success story for Shropshire.”
Luke Towler added: “For any PGA professional, the perfect car must have two key features. Firstly, there needs to be enough space in the boot for your clubs. Secondly, great fuel economy is essential for those long journeys.
“With a 483 litre boot, space for five 6ft adults and adjustable rear seats, the MG GS can carry enough gear for an entire championship – there’s even room for your caddy too! What’s more, its powerful 1.5l turbo engine delivers around 50mpg on the motorway – great performance, yet affordable.”
From just £15,095 OTR – a massive £4,000 cheaper than an entry level Qashqai – the MG GS is the perfect family SUV. Available in a range of six striking colours, with spec and tech to match, its roomy interior is great for motorists who need a vehicle with acres of luggage space.
