Fleet graphics and branding specialist Mediafleet has expanded its business partnership with Europcar (part of Europcar Mobility Group), by winning a contract to design, manufacture and fit unique vehicle graphics to a new fleet of buses serving Heathrow Airport.

The project involving 16 Europcar-branded minibuses and coaches further demonstrates Mediafleet’s capability to take typically two-dimensional corporate branding and apply it to vehicles.

Furthermore, the vehicle wrapping includes Contra Vision – one-way vision graphics over glass enabling passengers to see out of windows but not passers-by to see into the vehicles.

The fleet, which comprises Mercedes-Benz-based Sprinter minibuses and Optare buses unique to Europcar, provides a complementary transfer service for customers to get from the company’s vehicle rental reception desk at Heathrow Airport, Europe’s busiest passenger airport, and the complex’s five terminals.

The new bus fleet livery is part of a major Europcar project that sees new branding being rolled out at a number of rental locations.

Mediafleet is one of the UK’s leading vehicle graphics providers and installers and the new contract builds on the Oxfordshire-based firm’s five-year partnership with Europcar, which has seen it provide an increasing volume of promotional branding for events, rental locations and vehicles.

Barnaby Smith, managing director, Mediafleet, said: “The Heathrow bus contract win further demonstrates Mediafleet’s core proposition offering a creative brand agency-style approach to vehicle graphic design that provides our customers with a total one-stop shop also incorporating artwork production and fitment.

“Europcar is one of Mediafleet’s most prestigious clients and the new contract extends our reach to a different fleet as the company has learned more about our capability in terms of creative media branding.”

Describing the wrapping on the Heathrow Airport buses as a “technical tour de force” Mr Smith said: “Mediafleet is a company that provides and fits more than just vehicle graphics. Companies are becoming very brand centric and Mediafleet has the creative skillsets to provide a ‘front to back’ branding service from design to production and installation, project managing the entire process.

“It is a complete one-stop service and with creative agency design standards takes the concept of vehicle fleet graphics to an entirely new level. The latest Europcar contract further adds to the major deals won by the company in recent months.”

Jose Blanco, sales and marketing director, Europcar Mobility Group in the UK, said: “Since 2013 Mediafleet has successfully supported Europcar with the branding we require when we need it, whether for vehicles or in adhoc cases.

“The Heathrow Airport bus fleet is a totally new project for Mediafleet in terms of both introducing Europcar’s new branding to vehicles and the size of those vehicles. However, Mediafleet continues to meet our demanding schedule and has a faultless track record.”
