The Deritend Group has signed a new four-year fleet management agreement with Burton upon Trent-based CBVC Vehicle Management, the fourth between the two companies in the last 17 years.

CBVC’s relationship with the Wolverhampton-headquartered engineering services group goes back to 2001 when The Deritend Group was the subject of a management buyout led by current Chief Executive Officer, Richard Hale.

“Not only have CBVC supplied us with in excess of 750 vehicles over the years, they have been ever-present as our fleet manager and have added great value to our business,” said Richard Hale.

Amongst a series of fleet management initiatives that CBVC has implemented for the Deritend fleet has been the introduction of new fuel cards for fleet drivers.

“This has been a tremendous initiative as we now consistently buy our fuel at below supermarket national average prices and pay no transaction fees. As one of our longest serving suppliers, we look forward to CBVC continuing the good work,” said Richard Hale.

Mike Manners, Managing Director of CBVC, said: “While our client retention rates are excellent, this renewal is particularly gratifying.

“The agreement with The Deritend Group is a great tribute to our ethos of working in partnership with our clients. Richard and the rest of the directors and staff are great to work with and we look forward to assisting them in the many fleet challenges that lie ahead,” he added.
