New Virtual Sales Team at Volvo saves man hours and man power for SMEs

Volvo Car UK is stepping up its ongoing commitment to supporting the fleet needs of the SME market with the launch of a new Virtual Sales Team. The investment follows the successful restructuring of the firm’s wider Business Sales team in 2018, and complements its promise to deliver an unrivalled customer experience for SMEs.

The overall aim of the Virtual Sales Team is to make life less complicated for businesses who don’t have the time or resources to dedicate to sourcing fleet vehicles. A dedicated Virtual Sales Manager works hand in hand with the customer to identify their vehicle needs, source the cars and facilitate the acquisition process with the Volvo retailer network on the customer’s behalf.

Automated vehicle quotes, videos walking the customer through the benefits of the vehicle being considered, and the booking of a flexible vehicle demo, are all administered by the customer’s Virtual Sales Manager. Once an order is placed, a local Volvo Business Centre team works with the retailer to complete the contract, simplifying and streamlining the whole process for SMEs.

Steve Beattie, Volvo Cars UK Fleet

Steve Beattie, Head of Business Sales, Volvo Car UK, comments: “Small businesses are under constant pressure: it’s not unusual that the person managing a business’ fleet is doing so in addition to their appointed role, leaving them limited time to dedicate to the task.

“With the launch of our Virtual Sales Team, we aim to make life easier for SMEs. We take the hassle out of their fleet acquisitions by delivering a responsive, tailored service.”
