RHA want to see you show positive value in Driver CPC courses
At the Association of Industrial Road Safety Officers recent conference at Hinckley, the Road Haulage Association launched a competition that will challenge trainers, and those responsible for training, to show how they have successfully shown positive value in Driver CPC courses to those who are paying for them.
“It can either be a closed, bespoke course for a company or an open course aimed particularly at drivers for smaller employers, where we are looking to see innovative content, delivery and marketing,” said RHA Director of Policy Jack Semple.
The competition is open to both third party and in-house trainers and entries should be submitted with evidence of support from those who have paid for the training, with the intention being to publish some of the best entries in order to promote the courses.
“There remains considerable scepticism in much of the industry as to the value of Driver CPC – among company owners, managers and drivers. That is unsurprising, in many ways, given that the industry managed for many decades without a mandatory post-qualification training regime.” continued Mr. Semple.
The winning entry will receive a prize of £500 and two runners-up will each receive £250. For further information and a competition entry form, please email [email protected]
