Transpoco, the Dublin-based global fleet telematics supplier, has appointed Vehicle Quality Solutions (VQS) to install black box telematics technology to its growing number of UK customers.

VQS, the UK’s largest independent vehicle inspection provider, will utilise its nationwide network of engineers to install and reinstall the Transpoco ‘Synx™’ fleet management solution, which integrates fuel data, vehicle tracking and reporting, driver behaviour and fleet maintenance checks.

Transpoco is ramping up its telematics unit delivery to SME and corporate fleet customers in the UK, Ireland and across Europe. This combines a mixture of OBD and hard wired boxes which are fitted to cars, trucks, trailers, coaches and speciality fleets such as local authority vehicles.

Transpoco has been exploring a same-day installation service for customers and VQS was recommended as a solutions provider that could deliver this high end service.

“VQS was the perfect partner for us as its UK network of engineers is used to carrying out work on fleet vehicles to very exacting standards,” explained Transpoco’s CEO Andrew Fleury.

“The VQS team is also to working to tight deadlines, which will reduce downtime for our customers. Its strategically placed UK operations team have completed their training and will provide a high level of customer experience on our behalf,” he added.

VQS operations director Steve Weston has been responsible for setting up the Transpoco partnership.

“We were approached by Transpoco to provide a high quality national installation service for its range of telematics devices. Our team is used to working to consistently high standards in vehicle inspection and we have mirrored those with our telematics installations,” explained Weston.

“We are already looking at increasing the size of our field team to meet the growing needs of both our telematics and vehicle inspection customers,” he added.
