HAMMER: 1,001 vehicles up for grabs

Lex Autolease are returning to Manheim’s Colchester centre this weekend, with 1,001 ex-fleet, finance and commercial vehicles going under the hammer.

The centre – the only four-lane site in Europe – will tomorrow see 200 LCVs, 100 convertibles and many other vehicles up for grabs in the bumper sale.

Buyers attending can enjoy half-price delivery fees on all vehicles, as well as a free breakfast on registration and spot prizes throughout the day.

All 1,001 vehicles will also be available through Manheim’s online bidding platform, Simulcast.

Glenn Sturley, Vehicle Remarketing Director at Lex Autolease, said: “We have been holding these mega sales at Manheim for a number of years now and they have all proven to be incredibly successful.

“In fact, the last time that we did a similar auction in October 2013, we saw in excess of 1,000 trade and consumer buyers registering at the auction hall and online.

“I am confident that the combination of a diverse range of high quality vehicles, the unique four-lane set up that Manheim Colchester provides and the range of discounts and spot prizes that Manheim offer on the day will help to make sure that this year’s event is the best that we have ever had.”

Mark Taylor, General Manager at Manheim Colchester, added: “The last Lex Autolease sale in October 2013 saw over £7.1million worth of stock go under the hammer.

“The range of vehicles that we have on offer this time will provide buyers with the opportunity to purchase a mix of stock to suit a wide range of budgets, which will hopefully mean that this year’s sale will be our best yet and break last year’s record.”
