INFINITI started the new year with strong momentum, achieving the best January sales month both globally and in Western Europe. Around the world, 18,846 vehicles have been sold during the month, a 20% increase from the same month of the prior year. In Western Europe, the company sold 1,138 cars, an increase of 40% versus January 2016. Across the competitive EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region INFINITI sold 2,128 vehicles, up 14% compared to the same month of the previous year.
In particular in Europe and EMEA, these results are largely driven by the excellent reception of INFINITI’s all-new Q30 and QX30 compact entries launched last year. Close to 750 Q30’s were sold in January across EMEA.
In Europe, INFINITI continues to experience strong growth rates in all major markets. INFINITI UK registered 182 vehicles in January, up 73% compared to January 2016. Italy saw an increase of 560% in registrations, whilst France increased sales by 86% and Germany 13%.
These results follow a record-breaking 2016 sales year of more than 230,000 vehicles, and the debut of INFINITI’s QX50 concept crossover, which was world premiered at this year’s Detroit Motor Show. For more information, please visit www.infinitipress.eu.
