PARTS: September is a busy time for garages
Garages should ready themselves for the post-September MOT peak by stocking up on reliable parts, the Andrew Page Group have urged.
Many cars are currently facing tests they have not had to pass in previous years, with garages likely to find they have more parts to replace.
This follows the Vehicle Operator Services Agency’s (VOSA) MOT changes, with the test now incorporating electronic warning lights, engine mountings and the speedometer.
Research has also indicated that the two key areas for MOT failures are lighting and brakes – meaning garages should be looking to order extra parts, according to Andrew Page Group.
