Fleet management and car benefits specialist, Fleet Evolution is holding a programme of free-to-view webinars on ‘greening the fleet’, timed to coincide with the start of the Government’s inaugural Green GB Week.
Working in partnership with businesses and civil organisations, Green GB Week, which begins on Monday October 15, is intended to highlight the opportunities that clean growth offers the UK, as well as raising the understanding of how businesses and the public can contribute to tackling climate change.
The UK has led the world to date in cutting emissions while creating wealth, says the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy. Between 1990 and 2016, the UK reduced its emissions by over 40% while growing the economy by more than two-thirds – the best performance in the G7 on a per person basis.
Green GB Week is intended to showcase the benefits that clean growth can bring to all parts of society – from new jobs to cleaner air. A diverse range of businesses, civil society groups and government will join forces across the country during the week to tell the story of clean growth and how acting to tackle climate change is a shared endeavour.
Timed to coincide with the start of Green GB Week, the Fleet Evolution webinars – entitled ‘A Low Emission Motoring Future’ – are on Monday, October 15, at 2.00pm and on Wednesday, October 17, at 11am and again at 2.00pm, lasting around 40 minutes and looking at the business and social case for greening the fleet and the simple processes necessary to achieve this.
Many companies are still confused about alternative fuel vehicles, electric cars, green motoring and the future direction of mobility. However, the Fleet Evolution green webinars present a great opportunity to learn about the current benefits of greening both the fleet and employees’ cars from a Go Ultra Low- accredited company.
Fleet Evolution was awarded ‘Go Ultra Low Company’ status in November 2017, in recognition of how it has opened its vehicle fleet to plug-in cars and its commitment to boost uptake of green, plug-in vehicles over the coming years.
Managing director, Andrew Leech, said: “We would like to support the Government’s first Green GB Week by holding these green fleet webinars for both fleet and HR managers alike. They are free-to-view upon registration to anyone interested in this key area of car fleet operation.”
