Changes To Marketing Department At KIA

In order to make every success of Kia’s wide ranging product offensive in 2017, the Marketing department has undertaken a structural change with the creation of two-new crucial roles: Head of Brand Communications and Head of Dealer and Direct Marketing.

Kia is pleased to announce that Jane Fenn has been promoted to the new role of Head of Brand Communications from her previous position of Brand Communications Manager. Jane has been at Kia for fourteen years working in a number of roles within the Marketing department.

Talking about her new position, Jane said: “This career opportunity has come at a very exciting time; Kia currently offers the freshest product range in the industry and the introduction of the Kia Stinger will truly unlock the potential of the Kia brand. I look forward to leading and managing Kia’s brand communications strategies and I am keen to develop and implement a youthful vision of the brand”.

David Hilbert, Director of Marketing, commented: “Jane has a wealth of marketing experience and knowledge. Having led Brand Communications for a number of new model launches at Kia, Jane will be instrumental as we look to enter two new segments with the launch of the All-New Kia Stinger and All-New Kia Stonic”.

Kia is also delighted to welcome Sanka De Silva as the Head of Dealer and Direct Marketing. De Silva joins Kia from his previous role as Regional Sales Manager at Nissan. Having worked in various marketing and sales roles at Nissan, including EV Product and Performance Manager, De Silva has a wealth of experience working in the automotive industry.

Commenting on the new role, De Silva said: “I am pleased to be joining the leadership team of a brand that is organically growing at such an impressive rate. I look forward to working with and continuing the strong relationship that Kia has with the dealer network, who continually deliver impressive results. Since starting this new role, it’s becoming more evident that the future of the Kia brand is very exciting, despite the growing challenges in the marketplace”.

On De Silva’s appointment, Hilbert commented: “We are very pleased Sanka is joining the Marketing team as Head of Dealer and Direct Marketing, his experience working at Nissan in Product, Sales, Communications and his knowledge of alternative fuel vehicles will be crucial as we look to launch two new Plug-in Hybrids. I am confident he will be a great addition to the team”.
