BAC prepares show-stopping stand at 2017 Goodwood FOS

Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) is looking to steal the show at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed and is preparing a hugely exciting stand capable of doing exactly that.

In its fifth year at the West Sussex event, BAC is pulling out all the stops and putting three of its One-of-a-Kind Mono supercars on display along with a whole host of entertaining features showing the car in action.

Plus, for the very first time, BAC’s all-new Mono configurator will take pride of place on the stand, allowing guests to customise their dream car in the company of BAC Co-Founders Neill and Ian Briggs. The configurator was developed in partnership with BAC software partners Autodesk, just like one of the stand’s other biggest draws.

The American giants worked with BAC to develop a special-edition Mono that’s set to go on display at Goodwood, and its futuristic design is sure to capture imaginations over the course of the week. Autodesk is a world-leading product development, manufacturing and business software solution company that helps to accelerate BAC’s R&D projects.

A video will be shown on the stand documenting how Autodesk’s bespoke car came together, and there will also be presentations from BAC recent trip to the Isle of Man.

An army of 12 Monos – the most ever assembled together – recently took to the driving haven, where BAC teamed up with the local government to treat its guests to exclusive driving routes. The spectacular results make up a truly intoxicating film, which will be playing alongside a feature on the headline-grabbing BAC Mono police car.

Alongside the artistic Autodesk Mono will be a set of supercars destined for a life across the pond: one demo for the recently announced BAC Canada with partners Pfaff Automotive and the other heading to former MLB all-star turned car dealer C. J. Wilson at BAC Scottsdale, Arizona and BAC Austin, Texas.

BAC staff will be on hand to talk visitors through all things Mono over the course of the week, including the unique touches of the car – such as the made-to-measure seat and steering wheel – and world firsts like its hybrid carbon-composite wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes.

But it’s not just static Monos that will be hogging the limelight at Goodwood, as BAC will be mounting a serious charge in the Hillclimb at this year’s event. Test Driver Oliver Webb will get behind the wheel and surge up the hill in the 2017 model year car for the first time, looking to hit the heights of the top of the race cars for the road leaderboard.

BAC Co-Founder and Director of Product Development, Neill Briggs, said: “The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an event we really look forward to every year, and 2017’s edition is set to be extra special for us. Not only do we have our 2017 model year car racing up the hill for the first time, but we are also welcoming customers from all around the world together with our dealers and distributors. We have a very talented and passionate team joining us at Goodwood and we welcome all guests to come and sample the fun, excitement and art of the Mono during the week.”

The Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from Thursday 29 June – Sunday 2 July.
