LAUNCH: Armour release new display unit

Armour Automotive are aiming to improve how employees drive and contribute to a successful fleet with a new display unit for a real-time driver feedback device.

The new Driver Behaviour Display can warn motorists in real time about their driving, enabling them to immediately change their style.

A series of traffic-light coloured LEDs are displayed to warn the driver about actions such as harsh acceleration, braking, cornering and speeding.

The solution can be connected with any telematics solution through a serial port to accept various different easily programmable commands and parameters.

This ensures it can provide alerts based on the reporting capability of any tracking unit, offering opportunity to work closely with employees to improve driver behaviour.

Vijay Punj, Sales and Marketing Director at Armour Automotive, said: “We are already generating interest from a number of telematics service providers, telematics box manufacturers and vehicle insurance companies.

“Improving the way employees drive can deliver a wide range of cost and operational benefits, as well as supporting a safe and responsible business.

“As a result, there is increasing demand from the marketplace for innovative tools that can contribute to improved driving behaviour and techniques.”
