Debbie adopted the Motor Mistress pseudonym some time ago, when blogging about cars was really something of a hobby.

She has worked in the automotive industry since leaving school and headed up a large, successful leasing company sales team for a number of years.

A keen (and possibly quite unhealthy) interest in cars and their acquisition methods spurned the initial blog.

Debbie felt there was a gap in the market for clear, factual car reviews that covered issues like resale values, economy and of course, tips on funding methods.

The Motor Mistress series of ‘Lowdowns’ – sponsored by All Vehicle Contracts Limited – are a ‘first-stop’ for many people who find them invaluable when they are researching their next car.

Debbie has worked with a number of well-known companies including Compass Contract Hire Limited, and together they have created a unique website specialising in impartial car leasing and contract hire advice (www.vehicleleasingadvice.co.uk).

In addition, Debbie provides regular articles and features to the automotive industry, including an exciting new series of ‘Top 10’ Best Family Car reviews for the female-friendly www.mycargossip.co.uk.

Debbie says: “Of course, I do love fast cars but these days, writing about cars isn’t just about the petrol-head stuff.

“It’s also got to be about value for money, choosing the right specification and securing the best funding option.

“Fuel economy, insurance implications, safety ratings, practicality and boot space are all important factors to people when they are choosing their next car.

“I will give you ‘the lowdown’ on whatever car I take a look at, tell you the best way to finance it and I will do so in a way that is clear, concise and honest.”

One thing you can always be sure about with anything that Debbie puts her name to is integrity; wherever you see the Motor Mistress logo you are guaranteed to find fresh and original car-related written content.
