Europcar avoids more than 122 tonnes of CO₂e through Green Parts
Europcar Mobility Group UK has significantly increased the proportion of its company car and fleet vehicles repaired using certified green parts, helping it avoid more than 122 tonnes of CO₂e since the start of 2026.
The achievement follows a partnership with The Green Parts Specialists, powered by Copart, which has supplied Europcar with provenanced quality green parts for fleet repairs since 2024.
The partnership is supporting Europcar’s wider sustainability objectives while delivering practical benefits for its fleet operation, including reduced repair costs and improved efficiency. Alongside supplying reusable parts, the arrangement enables components recovered from Europcar vehicles to be resold through Copart’s network for use in other vehicle repairs.
For fleet operators, using quality reused components can provide an alternative to sourcing new parts, potentially reducing both the environmental impact and cost associated with vehicle repairs.

The partnership also creates a circular flow for usable components removed from Europcar vehicles. Instead of being discarded, suitable parts can be recovered and sold through Copart’s network, where they can be used to repair other vehicles.

Europcar has avoided more than 122 tCO₂e during 2026 to date, based on the cumulative environmental benefit recorded from the use and resale of green parts since the beginning of the year.
The figure is therefore a year-to-date total for 2026, rather than a projection or full-year figure. As the partnership continues, the amount of carbon avoided could increase further during the remainder of the year.
