AION cuts downtime with innovative new diagnostic solution
AION, the electrified car brand behind the UK’s leading ownership proposition, has partnered with automotive expert CRG Diagnostics to reduce vehicle downtime, whilst ensuring vehicles are calibrated post repair using manufacturer diagnostic software to bolster support to AION owners across the UK.
CRG Diagnostics will provide diagnostic and technical support for AION vehicles across the UK, including:
– Manufacturer-level diagnostics
– Component coding and programming support
– ADAS support and calibration
– Pre- and post-repair diagnostic scans
As a leading provider of mobile ADAS calibration, coding and diagnostic solutions for automotive clients, CRG Diagnostics will assist AION in overcoming common challenges faced by the body repair sector. It complements the brand’s fully stocked UK-based parts centre that provides guaranteed nationwide next-day delivery.
“Working with CRG Diagnostics further compliments the UK-specific repair methods we have developed in partnership with Thatcham Research, now available on their e-Scribe platform, alongside our focus on ensuring the right parts are available when they are needed,” said Ben Hurford, Aftersales Director at AION Auto UK.
“Together, these solutions are designed to remove unnecessary delays from the repair process and reduce vehicle downtime. Ultimately, it is about making the repair journey as straightforward and efficient as possible for our repair partners, while helping us deliver the optimum experience our customers expect from AION,” he added.
“As AION vehicles begin appearing in greater numbers on UK roads, this step means CRG already has the capability and technical support in place to work with accident repair centres, replacement glass providers and fleet customers,” said Justin Bown, Group Managing Director of Collision Repair Group. “For us, this partnership is about more than adding another manufacturer to the list. It’s about making sure our customers have access to the technology, knowledge and support they need as the UK car parc continues to evolve.”
AION has recently launched its second model, with the AION UT hatchback joining the AION V SUV. Both cars benefit from the AION Great 8 Promise as standard. This market-leading ownership package comprises an eight-year warranty, eight years’ servicing, eight years’ roadside assistance and MOT until the car is eight years old, all transferrable to future owners.
