RECORD: Manheim celebrate Bristol landmark

Employees at Manheim’s Bristol auction centre are celebrating after witnessing a 24% uplift in half-year sales volumes compared to 2012 – leading to record-breaking figures.

Bristol have beaten their sales personal best in four of six months this year, and the superb return has prompted the management team to invest in eleven new starters.

New team members include inspection and yard personnel, as well as Deborah Thomas, a new Assistant General Manager focused on service delivery.

Manheim have also completed two internal promotions to the roles of Assistant General Manager of Operations – Rob Gale – and Buyer Services Manager – Gordon Cockle.

Brett Henderson, General Manager at Manheim Bristol, said: “The team has done a fantastic job in the first half of this year to deliver such impressive uplift in volumes.

“Introducing vendors, such as Ridgeway, Silver Street (Marshall), BMW and Ford Thorne, has ensured a comprehensive mix of desirable vehicles, delivering a 20% increase in the number of registered buyers.

“As a result, we’ve recruited to ensure that we continue to maintain our high standards of customer service.

“The Bristol site was the first auction centre in the UK to gain the Institute of Customer Services (ICS) Service Mark for a best-in-class approach to customer satisfaction.

“We expect to see further growth over the second half of 2013, and are committed to ensuring customers receive the same level of quality as they are used to.”

Manheim Bristol is a 29acre, purpose-built auction centre offering more than 75,000 vehicles each year.

Regular auctions are held on behalf of some of the UK’s top contract hire and leasing companies, franchised dealers and manufacturers.
