PLATFORM: Motiva deal with Fleetondemand

Motiva Group have introduced a new online platform aimed at giving commercial customers the chance to book rental vehicles at the touch of a button.

The technology, rolled out as part of a deal with creators Fleetondemand, will also provide consolidated reporting designed to enhance fleet management.

Richard Dawson, Divisional Director of Rental at Motiva Group, said the move is a huge step in the right direction for the company’s M-Way Vehicle Rentals arm.

“This partnership is a big move for us as it’s the first time we’ve been able to create the ability to book any number of cars, vans or trucks online,” he said.

“We wanted to get it right first time and we’re confident we’ve done that by choosing a great, user-friendly platform that ticks all the boxes.

“Our clients will benefit from a high-tech booking tool and our company will become more efficient as a result.”

Mr Dawson added that the three-year licence agreement with Fleetondemand can be a stepping stone for Motiva Group as a whole.

“The innovative solutions provided by a company who are specialists in the field are a perfect match for us,” he said.

“Their new platform integrates real-time into our existing Prohire software system, so moving forward in this way was a logical choice.

“It will help us take the business to the next level and opens up several exciting new avenues.”

The software, due to go live in September, will also provide consolidated reporting details across the M-Way supply base and access to a national network of rental vehicles through the Supplier Genie gateway.

“The reporting functionality is very important, particularly for customers with bigger fleets,” added Mr Dawson.

“It enables fleet managers to see, real-time, precisely what vehicles they have, the rates they’re paying, monthly mileages and exception reports.

“It also gives updates on P11D and Motor Insurance Database compliance.

“It creates greater fleet visibility and, ultimately, more control.

“We already have access to more than 25,000 rental vehicles, but access to Supplier Genie means we can now tap into the rental stock of any other company with the same software if necessary and it’s an extra bonus which enhances our services to customers.”
