Commercial Fleet Summit

Work-related road safety, reducing vehicle off-road time and cutting fuel bills will all top the agenda at the first Commercial Fleet Summit and Exhibition.

Held on Thursday 24 September at the International Centre, Telford, the Commercial Fleet Summit will be the ultimate event for commercial fleet operators looking for unique insight, analysis and best practice examples from industry experts and interactive exhibitions. The Summit will culminate with a glittering evening awards ceremony that will recognise and celebrate the industry’s finest.

With air quality concerns and continuing speculation on local authorities introducing low emission vehicle zones, the agenda-setting Summit will focus on the development of a future fuels roadmap.

And, as minimising vehicle downtime, particularly if it is unscheduled, continues to be the bane of many fleets, one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle fleet operators will highlight best practice techniques to keep uptime to a maximum and minimise financial costs.

Expert speakers will also closely analyse the benefits of telematics in delivering a wealth of real-time data relating to vehicle use or abuse and driver behaviour as well as examine the issues surrounding in-vehicle cameras, occupational road risk management and technology.

Stephen Briers, editor in chief of Commercial Fleet, said “The Summit is the must attend event for commercial vehicle fleet decision-makers.

“In addition to the exhibition, a number of well-known professional commercial vehicle fleet decision makers will be passing on their top tips and advice on a range of topics, including maximising vehicle utilisation, meeting increasing compliance and improving fuel purchasing techniques. The Summit promises to deliver to commercial fleet decision-makers a string of cost effective and efficiency initiatives to improve their transport operations.”

The Commercial Fleet Summit and Exhibition will culminate with a prestigious black tie awards ceremony hosted by TV presenter and actress Gaby Roslin.

Providing the evening entertainment will be comedian, writer, actor, presenter and performer, Marcus Brigstocke, who launched The Late Edition and is a regular on panel shows such as Have I Got News For You.

Stephen added: “The Awards attract the cream of the commercial fleet industry and already more than 300 of the industry’s great and good have secured their places. The evening will recognise achievement and celebrate the critical role the industry plays in keeping British business moving.’’
