SOLUTION: Xylem cut end-of-term costs
Xylem Water Solutions UK are enjoying end-of-term damage reductions under a new leasing solution from Pendragon Contracts.
The RED (Reduce End of Term Damage) programme has been applied to the 44 Ford Transit and Transit Connect vans supplied, enabling Xylem to avoid damage costs when the vehicles are returned.
Working to a tight deadline before the selected model ran out, the fleet management company assisted Xylem in their van choice and placed the orders before the manufacturer deadline, avoiding vehicle downtime.
Pendragon Contracts also negotiated a competitive deal with a tyre supplier for winter tyres, and will be providing service relief vehicles from their daily rental provision.
Martyn Lewis, Senior Transport Manager of Xylem Water Solutions UK, said: “We were impressed with Pendragon Contracts’ knowledge and understanding that time is money.
“It is critical to our business that we keep our engineers on the road at all times and the total package it has provided will help us to achieve this successfully.
“However, an added benefit for us is the guaranteed cost saving on end of life damage issues that have been an issue for us in the past.
