PLANS: Motiva looking to double in size
Motiva are switching their short to medium-term rentals arm to the company’s new headquarters as part of plans to double in size by 2016.
M-Way Vehicle Rentals joined sister company Motiva Vehicle Contracts and parent company Motiva Group at their new site in Staffordshire last Friday.
The fleet management company formerly operated from three locations in Stoke-on-Trent, but have now amalgamated all services at a single site in the city.
Peter Wright, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Motiva, said: “Bringing M-Way over to our new base in Longton means we’ll be able to provide a wide variety of services and solutions from one site.
“For the first time, we will have contract hire, daily rentals, fleet monitoring, fuel management, risk management and vehicle maintenance operating out of the same place.
“It makes good sense both commercially and practically and we’re hoping to reap the benefits.
“We’re planning to double the size of our fleet to about 10,000 vehicles in just 36months.
“So this move, along with bringing in M-Way, from nearby Bucknall, is really about putting in place the infrastructure we need for that expansion.
“These are exciting times for the company and our plans will have positive implications for the local economy too.
“The Staffordshire and South Cheshire area will benefit from our expansion because we buy local whenever we can and because we will be creating jobs.
“Some 75% of our vehicles are locally supplied, so we’re spending millions of pounds with suppliers from North Staffordshire.
“Most of our senior managers are North Staffordshire born and bred, and we’re really pleased to be able to do our bit for local community groups, sports clubs and charities as well as the local economy.”
Motiva are one of the UK’s leading independent providers of vehicle fleet solutions.
They currently operate a fleet of around 5,000 cars and commercial vehicles through their contract hire division.
Along with short-term rentals through the M-Way brand, they provide funded or non-funded fleet provision and fleet and fuel management.
Medium-term rental from three months to one year is offered under the Lite-Lease banner, and vehicle tracking is provided through the Motrak brand.
