‘Excellent’ reliability and dealer service are being hailed as the reason for H&P Freightways adding 17 new Premiums to their growing 71-strong all-Renault fleet.

The leading tank container hauliers have nabbed the Renault Premium 460.25 tractor units, with ADR and discharge equipment, through distributor Thompson Commercials, Hull.

Operating from all major UK ports, the trucks will transport tank containers loaded with bulk liquids, powders and gases for major international blue chip companies.

Simon Page, Director of H&P Freightways, said: “We took our first Renaults 20 years ago and have since replaced the other marques, such as Mercedes, and Iveco, to become an all Renault fleet.

“All of the trucks are Renault Premiums and we have always found it to be a good, reliable, vehicle.

“The other reason we moved to Renault is the excellent back-up service we receive from the Renault dealer, Thompson Commercials.

“Thompson’s fleet sales manager, Ellis Thorpe, was also instrumental in putting together an excellent sales package for us.

“Our fleet is constantly updated and we wouldn’t want any other make!”

H&P Freightways were established in 1975, and have depots in Stockton-On-Tees, Felixstowe, Purfleet, Hull and Widnes.
