Vauxhall has expanded its relationship with Hoover Candy, providing 150 Brit-built Vivaro vans to the domestic appliance giant, adding to the 36 vans supplied a year ago.

With the vans being delivered in stages between now and 2017, once complete, the Hoover Candy van fleet will contain solely Vauxhall products.

Hoover Candy has ordered the L1H1 variant with the 1.6 120PS BiTurbo engine for all models, providing the drivers with range-topping fuel consumption and improved CO2 figures. Rear parking sensors, bespoke internal racking and Hoover livery will all be fitted to each model ahead of delivery.

With nationwide operations, Hoover Candy’s service engineers will use the vans to carry out essential maintenance work and appliance services, so vehicle reliability and running costs were of key concern when deciding on adding the new Vivaros to the fleet.

“Since adding the initial 36 Vivaros to our fleet last year, we have been able to see how well they perform in real-world conditions for our operations,” said Neil Parsons, Fleet Operations Manager at Hoover Candy. “Not only have the vehicles really impressed us, but so have the high levels of service provided by the Vauxhall team.”

“We are proud that Hoover Candy has decided to extend the number of Vauxhall models in its fleet, as it shows that the vehicles have been performing to a high level across the company’s national operations,” said Andy Savage, National Fleet Sales Manager at Vauxhall. “These Vivaros provide Hoover Candy with the best fleet solution for its service engineers, helping them maintain their high levels of service.”
