BHF announced as Morgan Motor Company Charity of the Year

Morgan Motor Company today announces that its Charity of the Year partner for 2017 is the British Heart Foundation (BHF). The one year partnership will aim to raise significant funds to help the BHF in its fight against cardiovascular disease (CVD).

CVD kills more than one in four people in the UK, stealing them away from families and loved ones. The funds raised by Morgan Motor Company will help support the BHF’s life saving research which could lead to better treatments for those living with CVD.

Morgan staff will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities including getting behind BHF fundraising campaigns such as ‘Wear It. Beat it.’ on Friday 9th June and the autumn stock donation campaign ‘Bag it. Beat it.’ for their 750+ shops. In addition Morgan will be hosting a large annual event “Run For The Hills” that will have a number of fundraising opportunities, including an auction at the Gala Dinner. As well as ongoing fundraising initiatives, both internally and externally, Morgan and BHF are looking to raise awareness and training throughout the 200 members of Morgan workforce.

The partnership between Morgan and BHF has been formed following significant fundraising by the company and their Press & Media Coordinator James Gilbert, who is running the London Marathon in April as part of the BHF Heart Runners team.

Steve Morris, Morgan Managing Director, said: “The BHF leads the fight against heart disease and we are very pleased to be supporting their vital work. We have a great track record in raising funds for our charity partners and I know together with our employees, customers and suppliers we will have a fantastic year with the BHF.”

Clare Cassidy, BHF Area Manager, West Midlands added: “We are thrilled to have been chosen as Morgan’s Charity of the Year. Throughout the partnership, Morgan staff will be raising funds to help the BHF realise its vision of a world where people don’t die prematurely or suffer from CVD.”

Morgan, who have a long and proud history of supporting both local and national charities, have in recent years supported the Worcester Oncology Centre, Marfan Charity and St Richard’s Hospice to name but a few. More information will be circulated throughout the partnership, allowing both owners and fans of the marque to get involved.
