The new Platinum Edition Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel models are distinguished by their special standard features, Further Distinction For The Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel each chosen to further emphasise the distinctive style, driving pleasure and passenger comfort of the four-wheel drive, four door Porsche. Together with the Cayenne Diesel and the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, the Platinum Edition line-up now comprises four Cayenne models.
The appeal of the new Platinum Edition models is expressed in their refined yet understated exterior. In addition to the standard body colours of black and white, five optional metallic paint finishes are also available: Jet Black, Mahogany, Purpurite, Carrara White and Rhodium Silver. The styling features elegant and sporting touches finished in high-gloss black, tinted privacy glass on the rear windows and wheel arch extensions in body colour.
Further highlights include 21-inch diameter Sport Edition alloy wheels finished appropriately in Platinum with a satin finish. As you enter, “Platinum Edition” lettering is revealed on the front door sill guards, and each of the outer head rests bear the Porsche crest. The driver and front seat passenger enjoy heated, eight-way adjustable powered leather sports seats with Alcantara seat centres, derived from the Cayenne GTS.
Bi-Xenon main headlights featuring Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and front and rear Park-Assist make driving effortless, whether travelling on long-distance journeys or manoeuvring around town. The automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors prevent glare from the traffic behind.
Also making light work of long journeys, each Platinum model is equipped with Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including satellite navigation, the Connect Plus module providing enhanced connectivity and an uprated BOSE® Surround Sound audio system. A further feature typical of this edition is the sports-style analogue clock on the dashboard.
The performance and efficiency remain the same as for the standard models; that is to say, typically Porsche. The 420 hp 3.6-litre V6 twin-turbocharged petrol engine in the Cayenne S delivers scintillating acceleration and can return up to 29.7 mpg Combined. The V8 engine with twin turbocharging in the Cayenne S Diesel combines 385 hp, a hearty 850 Nm of torque and up to 35.3 mpg Combined.
The new Cayenne S Platinum Edition models are available to order now, and first deliveries will arrive in Porsche Centres in the UK and Ireland in the Spring. The recommended retail prices including VAT are as follows:
