FRUGAL: The original Jetta SE
Volkswagen are offering £2,900-worth of extras for just a £160 premium in the new super-frugal Jetta Limited Edition.
The £20,750 vehicle comes with a five-speed 1.6litre 105PS TDI BlueMotion engine, which achieves 67.3mpg while emitting just 105g/km of CO2.
This means it qualifies for free first-year VED, and just £20 per annum thereafter.
Only 450 models are available, with the vehicle on sale now from Volkswagen retailers.
Standard Jetta SE features include a leather-trimmed handbrake, gear knob and multifunction steering wheel, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth, USB and iPod audio connections and cruise control.
The Jetta Limited Edition adds Volkswagen’s RNS 315 touchscreen satellite navigation, front fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, rear tinted glass and 16-inch ‘Perth’ alloys.
A Convenience Pack – consisting of an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, electrically foldable door mirrors with puddle lights, and automatic headlights and windscreen wipers – is also included.
The Jetta Limited Edition comes in three colours: Deep Black Pearl, or Reflex Silver or Platinum Grey Metallic.
It also has a towing capacity of 1,400 kg (braked, 12% incline), with a maximum noseweight capacity of 75kg.
