BAGGED: Renault Range T tractor unit
Leading national and international haulage company TAS Transport are set to bag one of Renault’s first Euro 6 Range T tractor units.
The T460 6×2 with sleeper cab will become TAS Transport’s fourth Renault when delivered in January 2014, acquired through Norfolk Truck and Van.
It will undertake long distance operations on behalf of the Palletways network.
Terry Stevens, Managing Director of TAS Transport, said: “Since adding the first Renault to our fleet this year we have been very impressed with the fuel consumption and have seen an increase in the mpg we are achieving.
“However, we are even more excited about the fuel returns promised with the new Range T.
“Plus, with the addition of the Optifleet telematics system, driver training and Fuel Eco Pack benefits that come with the truck we are hoping to make further savings.
“With regards to our drivers, we have had nothing but positive feedback from them in regards to the new Premiums, with easy to drive, comfortable sleeper cabs, offering a good panoramic view.
“Again, we are looking forward to even greater comfort from the new Range T model, which is extremely spacious and almost a ‘walk-around’ cab.”
Based near Heathrow Airport in Hayes, Middlesex, TAS Transport are now in their second decade of trading.
The company invest £1million a year in their fleet to ensure they remain up to date with, or ahead of, current legislation.
