AWARD: Manheim make the first move
Manheim are celebrating becoming the first commercial vehicle remarketing specialist to ensure their staff obtain the Certificate of Excellence in Van Operations.
The Freight Transport Association (FTA)-endorsed qualification is tailored specifically to the CV industry, to improve professionalism and customer service levels within the used van market.
Manheim now have specialists at more than half of the dedicated CV centres across the UK who have passed the intensive one-day course.
James Davis, Director of Commercial Vehicles at Manheim Remarketing, said: “To see our first batch of willing students be awarded this qualification is truly fantastic; I am very proud!
“As part of our CV strategy and to underpin our CV Customer Charter, I made a commitment that our people would be trained and developed to engage confidently Manheim’s customers in the specialist area of commercial vehicles.
“By the end of the year, all of our key customer-facing CV specialists, across remarketing sales, operations and other group businesses, will have been through this training.
“We will join the likes of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles which has trained its entire franchise network to this standard.”
Manheim are the only remarketing business to be accepted onto the FTA’s Van Excellence Scheme as a partner.
They are the first to provide an industry-recognised qualification to their CV team.
Manheim’s successful ‘Class of Summer 2013′ includes: Jenny Tierney (Haydock), Anthony Matthews (Washington), Simon Scaife (National Logistics), Simon Joyce (Leeds), John Harland (National CV Team), Chris Mynott (Colchester), Stuart Peak (Colchester) and Tim Spencer (National CV Team).
