Brake, the road safety charity, is delighted to announce that Lyons Davidson have continued their support for Brake’s annual Family Liaison Officer Conference, and will be co-sponsoring the event in 2017.

This essential Police family liaison following a road death or serious injury conference will be held in Birmingham on Thursday 12 October 2017, and offers an excellent training opportunity to FLOs from across the country.

Delegates at the event will be offered the chance to engage in national level discussions, about all the latest developments in best practice in support for people bereaved and seriously injured in road traffic crashes.

This conference would not be possible without generous sponsorship provided by Brake’s corporate supporters, and Brake would like to thank Lyons Davidson for their crucial and continued support for this event, which is essential to enabling this event to run.

Thanks to this kind sponsorship, a limited number of free places will be available to the police at this conference. Any FLOs or officers who would be interested in attending the event should contact Shane Bates at [email protected] for further information.

Attendance at this event offers an excellent networking opportunity for all traffic FLOs, victim support professionals and emergency services workers. For further information, please visit www.brake.org.uk, or email [email protected].

Jack Kushner, victim support events and marketing officer at Brake, says: “Brake is proud of the development opportunities that we are able to run for FLOs, and we are incredibly grateful to Lyons Davidson for their continued support of this crucial event. Without the support of partners such as Lyons Davidson, this conference would not be possible, and we would encourage all traffic FLOs to attend this event, to develop their knowledge of best practice. As a charity, Brake is committed to working in liaison with FLOs and the police, and we are delighted to be able to run this important event again in 2017.”

Craig Butler, senior associate, Lyons Davidson, says: “Lyons Davidson are delighted to once again enable the running of this vital conference. Supporting the vital work of FLOs, victim support professionals and other emergency services personnel is something that we are very proud of, and as a firm, we are passionate about developing strong relations with those that are able to support families in the traumatic aftermath of a road crash. My extensive experience of working with families bereaved or seriously injured in road crashes has highlighted the essential role that FLOs play, and I would encourage all officers to attend this event, to develop their knowledge of best practice.”
